Newsletter November -24
The newsletter below is partly about the ongoing salary revision (RALS2024), partly about the fact that the Saco-S association held its annual meeting about a month ago. In addition, the newsletter contains information about completed and upcoming activities during the autumn.
A salary audit is now underway at the university - where new salaries are to apply retroactively from 1 October 2024. Either you have already received or should soon receive a proposal for a new salary from your manager. For doctoral students and assistants, however, there is instead the so-called doctoral staircase, which expires at the turn of the year 2024/2025. We assume that work on a new agreement can begin shortly. During the month of October, the Saco-S association had two webinars on salary and salary setting – one in Swedish and one in English. With regard to salary and salary setting, the Saco-S association, with the aim of making it easier for you as a member, has updated the information found under the heading "SALARY" on our website. You can reach this information via the link below:
At the beginning of October, the annual meeting of the Saco-S association was held in the form of a hybrid meeting. The annual meeting was attended by Michael Svedemar (our contact ombudsman from SULF central) on site in Kalmar. At the annual meeting, among other things, a board was elected and in connection with the same, a discussion was held on various trade union issues. The minutes from the annual meeting together with a description of the distribution of responsibilities and duties within the Saco-S association's board can be found under the heading "CONTACT" which you can reach via the link below:
In addition, during the autumn, the Saco-S association offered members a number of webinars on various union-related issues, which were carried out centrally by SULF. In addition, during the month of October, a "Coffee with the union" was held on site in Kalmar and Växjö respectively. During November-December, two more such activities will take place. We will return with times for these. In other respects, we are planning during the month of November for a members' meeting in the form of a webinar aimed primarily at TA employees, which will deal with ongoing business analysis and the local working time agreement for TA employees. The university is also working on an educational strategy. The Saco-S association has submitted views on it in various ways. At the latest in the form of a referral response, which you can reach via the link below:
