Salary issues
Your salary is set when you get a new job at SLU. The salary depends mainly on the complexity of the tasks, the requirements for competence and problem-solving ability, as well as responsibilities, powers and the degree of independence. In connection with the salary revision, your new salary is determined primarily on the basis of your performance in relation to the business goals, but even an incorrect level can be changed.
Your salary changes in connection with salary revisions that take place annually, usually in the autumn. During salary revision, a review of salaries is made. In connection with the salary revision, your new salary is determined primarily on the basis of your performance in relation to the business goals and the individual goals that you and your manager set at the annual employee interview.
To support the assessment of your performance, there are SLU's evaluation criteria for performance.
If you are employed as a doctoral student, your salary is adjusted according to the so-called doctoral student salary ladder.
The salary can also be changed in the case of promotion or new skills, for example if you are hired as an associate professor, if you get a new job with more qualified tasks or if there are other special circumstances, in the case of promotion or new skills.
