Digital seminar: Working in Sweden 2023

Are you new in the Swedish labour market and want to know how it works? This seminar gives you an useful overview of information an employee in Sweden needs to know.

The presentation will touch upon several aspects of the Swedish labour market, among other on questions related to employment rights (different types of employment, how to terminate an employment), social benefits related to employment (parental, illness, unemployment, and pensions). We will also discuss what is so special about trade unions in Sweden and why are there so many?

The presentation will run for about 45 minutes followed by a Q&A-session.

Presenter: Friedrich Heger, Ombudsman Friedrich Heger is the presenter of this webinar. He works as a labour law specialist for Engineers of Sweden. Friedrich came to Sweden thirteen years ago and learned the hard way how the Swedish labour market works. Now he wants to share his knowledge with newcomers in Sweden – and everyone else.
